Beautiful 36,000 Sq Ft Mural Decorates The Markthal Rotterdam in Netherlands

After five years of construction, The Markthal Rotterdam, a 312,000 square-foot covered food market and housing development in the Netherlands, has finally opened. Designed by Dutch architects MVRDV, features a remarkable mural, titled “Comucopia” by artists Arno Coenen and Iris Roskam, covers 36,000 square feet of its rounded ceiling showcasing market goods such as fruits and vegetables.

The Markthal Rotterdam is expecting between 4.5 and 7 million visitors a year, containing about 100 fresh product units, 15 food shops, 8 restaurants, 228 apartments, and 1,200 parking spaces.
